โ€œThe copy sounds just like me and is way better than I could have ever done by myself (and I absolutely love to write).โ€

โ€œI recently had the pleasure of working with Sarah Guilliot on some copywriting for my Web Designer Academy group coaching program. The peace of mind and lack of stress had me feeling so calm and steady going into my launch. The icing on the cake is how amazing, insightful and funny she is and how she can really capture that copy voice!โ€

Case Study Summary

The Client:

Shannon Mattern is a business coach for web designers and host of the Profitable Web Designer Podcast. Sheโ€™s helped hundreds of ambitious women create profitable, sustainable web designer businesses via her popular group programs; Web Designer Academy, and the Next Level Mastermind.

How I helped:

Iโ€™ve worked with Shannon on a multitude of launch copywriting projects since 2023 providing email copywriting, sales pages, slide presentations, summit launch and speaker promo copywriting, and more.

This page showcases a few samples of that work!

โ€œI hired Sarah G of SarahDesign.com to write the sales emails for Paid Discovery Masteryโ„ข. She's written so much stuff for me, I love the process SO much. It was an unplanned investment, but such a good one because it always pays off!โ€

From Pre-Work to Delivery, my VIP Intensive Process is smooth and seamlessโ€ฆ

Hereโ€™s what Shannon said:

โ€œI love the process so much because she gives me a questionnaire. I either fill it out by typing it or just making a loom video and verbal vomiting all my answers and thoughts about what I want to convey in the emails.

And then because she knows me so well, she's taken the time to get to know my brand voice and me, she writes them for me in my brand voice better than I could write them for myself in way less time.

So many times, she gives me back the emails and then I read them and then they inspire me to add even more to them!โ€

Itโ€™s all in the details

Your voice MATTERS and itโ€™s critical to infuse all your messaging with copy thatโ€™s unmistakably YOU and inspires your readers with confidence that the transformation you teach is actually possible. Below are just a few of the MANY sales copywriting projects Iโ€™ve supported Shannon with over the past few years.

Launch Copywriting for Next Level Mastermind

Shannon had been running her mastermind for years but struggled with the sales copy. As a member of the group, I was able to draw on my unique insights into the INCREDIBLE value this container provides. โ€œYou said the things Iโ€™ve been unable to clearly articulate about Next Level in a way that made me FINALLY โ€œget itโ€!!โ€

Three pages of an email sequence document titled "Post Summit Email Sequence for Shannon Mattern" with sections on expectations, main goal, timing, summary, and steps for a post-summit email campaign.

Post-Event Welcome & Sales Copywriting Sequence

Shannon needed a smooth and easy way to transition her Simply Profitable Designer Summit leads to her funnel. I partnered with her conversion rate optimization specialist, Leigh Scott, to review audience data and write a conversion-focused Welcome + Sales email sequence to seamlessly move new leads into her group program funnel!

Three overlapping pages of a website about web design business, featuring a smiling woman sitting on a couch, with headlines about feeling trapped by web design, ready to make a change, and next level vision.

Launch Email Copywriting for Web Designer Academy

Shannon had a challenging year and wasnโ€™t in the right energy for writing her end of year launch emails. She also was tired of missing her birthday + holidays writing them! I stepped in with my launch email copywriting service and freed up space so she could enjoy life again and head into her launch feeling rested and confident :-)

A printed email titled 'Paid Discovery Mastery Launch Emails (2024)' with details about the launch, including email 1 details, scheduled for October 21.

Launch Email Copywriting for Paid Discovery Masteryโ„ข Training

I wrote the emails for Shannonโ€™s new training launch and she said: โ€œI just read through them all and Iโ€™m likeโ€ฆ โ€˜HOW DOES SHE DO THIS????โ€™ Your emails make me want to buy itโ€ฆ and they also make me thinkโ€ฆ โ€˜Only $297!? Seriously?! What a steal!โ€™ They are so, so good!!!!โ€

My VIP Intensive process cuts out all the back & forth of traditional projects so you get your time back!

Hereโ€™s how it felt on Shannonโ€™s side:

โ€œWe do a launch at the end of the year and I always spend the last month of November (which includes my birthday!) working on my sales email campaigns.

When I decided to work with Sarah, one of the things I was so excited about is the freedom that Iโ€™d have to not only focus on all of the other moving parts of our year end open enrollment but also to just have space around this time of my birthday and the holidays. It was so wonderful to NOT be constantly thinking about this work that needs to get done in order to do the final promotion of the year!

The peace of mind and the space and the lack of stress and one (really big) less thing on my to do list has me feeling so calm steady and certain going into this launch.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s a beautiful collaborationโ€ฆreally, really fun!โ€

It's truly like this beautiful collaboration where she pulls out of me the things that I didn't know I wanted to say and then it unlocks another door for me and it's just, it's really, really fun. We kicked off this project right before I left for Las Vegas and then when I get back, VOILA, emails are done!
